telehealth appointments
A Secure And Convenient Way To Get Support.
Online telehealth appointments available for Texas residents for both talk therapy and EMDR therapy. Get the support and guidance you need from the comfort of your home.
Get the support you need from the comfort of your home
Don’t let distance or accessibility stop you from getting help and support. I offer online telehealth talk therapy and EMDR appointments for Texas residents. This gives you more flexibility since you’re not constrained to a particular location.
How does online therapy work?
Online therapy is almost the same as in-person therapy. Instead of driving to an office, you’ll log into a secure portal to conduct sessions.
Because my license allows me to see anyone in the state of Texas, you don’t have to be located in Austin in order to utilize my services.
If you live in a remote area or don’t have access to reliable transportation, online counseling still allows us to connect.
Long gaps between sessions can impede progress since we’ll end up spending a great deal of time catching up instead of working on deeper concerns. Meeting online means you can make steady progress.
Many clients enjoy and even prefer online since it feels more private and comfortable being in your own home instead of an office.
What You’ll need for Telehealth Sessions:
While being able to log into session from the comfort of your own home is very convenient, it can present some unique concerns. In order to best utilize online sessions, here are a few ways to make it work:
Stable and private internet connection/WiFi connection
Secure, private location where you won’t be interrupted
Computer (or phone, or tablet) with a camera
Optional: Headphones to reduce background and feedback noise
Optional: Fan or white noise machine
Is online therapy effective?
Thankfully, yes! Pre-COVID I might have given you a different answer, but since lockdown, I’ve found online to be just as effective as in-person therapy.
You’re still getting the same mindful attention you’d get if we were sitting in an office together.
While there are unique challenges that weren’t an issue before, like making sure your space is private and reducing distractions, overall I’ve found the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.
You’re no longer limited by distance, which means getting the support and guidance you need from wherever you are (in Texas). I offer both online talk therapy and EMDR sessions.
Don’t wait to get support for your concerns. Get connected with online counseling so you can Pursue what matters.
It may feel far off now, but it’s possible to wake up and not feel an overwhelming sense of dread, or constantly worry about things going wrong. Life can be fun and fulfilling when overwhelming feelings don’t get in the way of doing what matters.
The Benefits of Online Therapy
It’s Effective
Research shows that telehealth therapy is just as effective as in-person counseling and I’ve personally found it to be very effective.
You’ll still get the same attention and attunement I provided in-person. With a few adjustments, EMDR therapy is just as effective online.
It’s Convenient
No more dealing with a commute or sitting in traffic. We’ll meet from the comfort of your own home, creating an environment that works best for you.
And if video isn’t your thing, I also offer “walk and talk” phone sessions. Walking while we talk can make difficult topics less uncomfortable.
It’s Flexible
Because I don’t need to physically be in an office to help you, this gives me greater flexibility to schedule appointment times that work for you.
You can schedule appointments when you otherwise wouldn’t be able to. You won't need to miss work or completely rearrange your schedule.
